All Adorned by Cal Olsen

Saint Kate’s 2022 Holiday Installation All Adorned enlivens and embellishes the Lunette window bays by disassembling the forms of stained glass windows and ornaments. Cal Olsen’s site-specific installation is composed of garlands that cascade down from upwards of 8 feet overhead. Cal’s thoughtful design incorporates contrasting materials with cool, reflective, metallic surfaces that scatter light as well as soft, yarn-wrapped bulbs that introduce warmth to the installation.

Cal Olsen is an artist living and working in Milwaukee. She is a former Display Artist at Anthropologie and an art educator with a BA in Studio Art from UW-Milwaukee.
