Tandem Press is a fine art print publisher affiliated with the University of Wisconsin–Madison. We collaborate with internationally renowned artists to produce original print editions and are widely recognized for our commitment to experimentation, collaboration, and ambitious, print-based projects.
As part of the UW–Madison Art Department in the School of Education, Tandem provides students and the public with meaningful access to some of today’s most influential contemporary artists. The Chazen Museum of Art, located on the UW-Madison campus, serves as the official archive of Tandem Press and receives one print from every edition we publish.
This exhibition features selections from editions produced over the years at Tandem, featuring the work of notable contemporary artists like Derrick Adams, Jeffrey Gibson, and Mickalene Thomas. In addition to work on display the exhibition will tell the story of Tandem and highlight several of the printmaking processes for which they are so appreciated in the world of art and printmaking.
