Kimberly Dadtka is a painter who uses textiles and fashion materials to explore the materiality of paint is featured in Saint Kate's first Holiday Art Installation.
Guided by the visual framework of Abstract Minimalism, her work investigates the intersections between fine art and craft by deploying materials such as spandex, glitter, and rhinestones in place of and alongside paint within the confines of a traditional canvas stretcher. Dadtka holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting & Drawing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
